An exquisite and elegant project, led by Cuban pianist and composer Pepe Rivero and ibicenca singer Ángela Cervantes that brings back the legacy of Puerto Rican artist Sylvia Rexach. With a selection of her songs, Rivero and Cervantes pay tribute to the work of this fabled singer, composer, actress, scriptwriter, and poet who was ahead of her time, and give voice to her work and her brief but intense life. A life of poetry and melody, straddling the post-war period and the Bohemia of the 1950s, a world that only recognized the true value of her work after her premature passing.

The album, produced by Jazz/Latino, inc., under the executive direction of José E. Cruz, will be recorded this summer at Camaleón studio in Madrid, featuring two very special gests: Puerto Rican alto sax player Miguel Zenón, who is well-versed in the ouvre of Rexach and has recorded some of her songs, and the Cuban tenor sax player Ariel Bringuez, who will also be part of the line up in live performances.
